Joe Nordgaard, Managing Director of Spectral Advantage LLC, has spent the last 16 years exploring a wide variety of issues shaping the wireless industry.  His efforts working on the US PCS auctions in the mid-'90s, led him to be called upon to help comment and debate spectrum policies in dozens of countries around the world.

He tirelessly argues for common sense spectrum policies, such as, licensee rights, in-band service migration, and for the more efficient utilization of lower frequencies to help lower the cost of  communications.

Joe is most noted for his pioneering work which led to the creation of the cdma450 industry.

He is also an outspoken critic of the industry hype and industrial policy decisions which he maintains helped create what he calls the "3G Train- wreck" in Europe.

His opinions and insights have been quoted in the economist, the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and Forbes and in such trade publications as Global Mobile, 3G Mobile and Radio Communications Reports.

He has participated, presented or has been as a member of:  ETSI, CEPT-FM, CEPT SE, CITEL, ITU-D, ITU 8F, CDG, PCIA, NMTA, NMT MoU, IA450

His latest efforts have him trying to help shape opinions and policies for the building of Iraq's wireless infrastructure.
